A Day To Remember

Today is Tuesday, November 11, 20❤️❤️, a day we celebrate “ Veterans” every year, our men and women who served and sacrificed for our democracy. There are parades, picnics, ceremonies, speeches. Veterans are served free meals by nearly every major restaurant chain across the country. There are banners, balloons, parades and floats that Honor our Heroes; living and deceased. Our National Cemeteries are filled with visitors today, many carrying flowers and wreaths to honor and memorialize the fallen; others simply sprucing up grave sites.

And when the clock struck midnight, the parades ended, and the celebrations were over. Reflections under a bright harvest moon reveal the silhouettes of hundreds of thousands of grave markers shining brightly; the massive numbers of visitors exited the final resting place of our fallen Heroes. For the active military and Veteran visitors that participated and were celebrated today, returned home with their families to reflect and relive the fun, enjoyment and memories shared today.

The goals of this group of Heroes is the same everyday thereafter. Their mission will remain the same until they receive the assistance they need to recover from the traumas of the experiences that have rendered their current homeless condition.

Recent statistics * calculate there are approximately 50,000 Veterans homeless or at risk of homelessness living on the streets on any given night in our country. You may agree, if there is one, there is one too many.

I too am a service-disabled Vietnam Veteran, United States Navy. Tonight my heart aches for the tens of thousands of Veterans attempting to find food and shelter.

How H20(H) Got Started

It began with the life of a fallen soldier. A Patriot who survived their tour of duty, yet died homeless on the streets of a city in America. Like so many before and since, our Hero failed to receive the assistance needed upon their return home in the same condition as when deployed.

“While on my knees in pray, the Holy Spirit spoke to me in an audible voice. He said, “You can and must do more to solve this issue”. As I waited for further instructions, there was deafening silence. I remained on my knees for a short time longer, when I realized that He had already given me the plan and the instructions to work the plan. God had given me an idea to sell bottled water and other consumer products all around the world. He had even given me an impressive trademark that at honors and commemorates our Veterans –H2O (H) HONOR TO OUR HEROS™ . As I reflected on this conversation, He had already given me corporate partners to help sell the water.

I have a strong belief that “We Achieve the Height of Life’s Purpose When Our Dreams Meet the Needs of Another”.

Ending Veteran and chronic homelessness has been the subject of conversations for decades. It is time to SOLVE the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CFJpYxVf-I

Honor 2 Our Heroes Foundation has taken on the responsibility to generate revenue for this campaign/mission. I hope and encourage corporations, entrepreneurs, executives, celebrities, philanthropists, actors, artists and all that benefit enjoy and appreciate our democracy will join this noble mission to end Veteran and chronic homelessness.

I DREAM OF THE DAY THAT EVERY PATRIOT THAT SERVED WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUINTY TO ACQUIRE ADEQUATE HOUSING, A SAFE AND PERMANENT PLACE TO CALL HOME. AND TO RECEIVE THE SUPPORT NEEDED TO RETURN TO SOCIETY. EMBRACE THE DREAM AND WE CAN PROVIDE OUR HEROES WITH WHAT THEY HAVE

In conclusion, it is reasonable to think most of us have a Veteran story. All too often our story is a sad experience of a Veteran we Love. My younger brother, my best friend, Ronald Carl McFarlin returned from his tour of duty addicted to Heroin. After several failed drug rehab programs, he left home one day. Sometime later, the call came to come and identify his body.

Send your Veteran story to Facebook, Instagram or other social media outlets. It may help bring your Loved One Home to receive Help or Save His/Her Life.

Now it is simply a matter of reaching out to additional corporate retailers, to share our mission, ask for support and take orders. Wait! There is another important requirement to make our plan work. We must make all of America aware of our plan to end Veteran homelessness and ask for their help as well.

In closing: “America, we are reaching out to you to raise your awareness and ask for your help to bring Veteran homelessness to an end”.

What Can We Do?

The solution is simple. We need you to participate in our campaign “H2O(H) HONOR 2 OUR HEROES ‘.
